  1. On Sunday morning, Jun. 19, at 4:35 a.m., Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police investigated a single-vehicle crash on southbound I-95 at Exit 50 near Catonsville. Officers discovered 25-year-old Sai Charan Nakka of Hanover in the driver’s seat of a 2022 silver Hyundai Tucson. Police said Nakka had several injuries that possibly included a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at 6:30 a.m. at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. The MDTA asks anyone with information about Nakka, the 2022 silver Hyundai Tucson SUV, or suspicious activity along southbound I-95 in Baltimore to contact the MDTA Police at 443-915-7727.   2. Juliette Whittaker, a senior at Mount de Sales Academy in Catonsville, was named "Athlete of the Year" by the Baltimore Sun for the 2022 girls' outdoor track and field All-Metro teams. Myla Abernathy, a senior at Catonsville High School, made the All-Metro second team. (Baltimore Sun)
