Whiz Kid: Westchester Elementary Student Organized Toy Drive

Each week, Patch features a teen or child who has been nominated by a member of the community for doing something outstanding. Here's this week's Whiz Kid.

Name: Rosemary McNeal

Age: 8 years old, second grade

School: Westchester Elementary School

Accomplishment: After her teacher Sue Schepp read a book about Hanukkah that talked about giving to families in need, Rosemary got an idea. She thought she and her classmates could organize a toy drive for children. In December of last year, students at the school collected gently-used toys for the Women and Children's Shelter in Baltimore.
