Here are the top three stories in Catonsville today:

  1. Tomorrow, Jan. 25, a new storm in the morning brings the potential for a "wintery mix" and cold temperatures. As of the time of this writing, travel issues are not anticipated in the Baltimore area and any snow accumulations will most likely be minor. By the afternoon, it will be mostly rain which will continue until Thursday morning, Jan. 26. (CBS News)
  2. A Baltimore County educator commented on Gov. Wes Moore's significant investments in education through his new budget plan. Cheryl Bost, a fourth and fifth-grade teacher in Baltimore County and president of the Maryland State Education Association, said Moore’s budget "marks the beginning of a new era of commitment and leadership to ensure that every student has an outstanding public school where they can pursue their dreams." Bost also said Moore is upholding "his promise to support students and educators by fully funding the FY24 state share of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, which will expand career and technical education programs and pre-kindergarten, address educator shortages, and raise educator pay." (Southern Maryland News)
  3. The Catonsville Branch Library will close for renovations soon. The last day for customers is Feb. 18 — until then, don't miss the great events and clubs including Teen Time every weekday, Family and Friends Story Time on Thursdays, Teen Anime Club on Jan. 26, Catonsville Chess Night on Feb. 9, and Mystery and Suspense Book Club on Feb. 14.
