Timeline: Alleged Accomplice in DeSha-Overcash Murder to Face Trial

Stephan Weaver, an accomplice in the murder of UMd. student Justin DeSha-Overcash, is scheduled to stand trial Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday morning, Stephan Weaver, one of charged with the murder of University of Maryland student Justin DeSha-Overcash, will stand trial at the District Courthouse in Upper Marlboro.

Below is a rundown of the events leading up to this point:

Jan. 11, 2011: on 8800 block of 38th Avenue in College Park, where a 22-year-old UMd. student was found suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said they believed the shooting was the result of an attempted robbery.

Jan. 12, 2011: The victim is identified as, a physics and astronomy double-major at UMd.

March 31, 2011: Police identified Deandre Ricardo Williams, 23, of Washington D.C. and Stephan Weaver, 22, of Bowie,

April 2, 2011: Patch acquired the for both Williams and Weaver, which revealed the two had sought out Overcash's home with the intent of robbing it for money and drugs. Weaver confessed his involvement in Overcash's death to a longtime friend, who then notified police.

April 22, 2011: Stephan Weaver's attorney announced that Weaver had to a preliminary hearing.
