WSSC Getting Ready For Flooding, Irene Fallout
Updates will be provided at the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission website, through local media and social media.

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission is taking precautions as hounds the East Coast including the Washington area.
Beside coordinating and working with local and regional law enforcement, also is keeping the system/storage tanks full of water and ensuring that there is a sufficient supply of chemicals on hand.
- Generators are being placed where possible and fuel supplies are topped off;
- critical personnel will be at WSSC facilities;
- employees at these critical locations are making sure they have adequate supplies and sleeping arrangements should they need to stay on duty for a prolonged period of time.

WSSC per person (more if you have pets). While you can fill clean containers with tap water, WSSC said containers with tight lids are best.
