2023 Boston Marathon Underway Monday With Runners From Howard County

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — An estimated 24 runners will take part in the 2023 Boston Marathon today.

The April race takes place on Patriots Day, Monday, April 17.

Boston Marathon 2023 Route

The Boston Marathon course starts in Hopkinton and ends on Boylston Street in Boston, with runners passing through Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton, and Brookline along the way.

The race travels along Route 135 until Wellesley, where the race moves to Route 16. That means the race will effectively cut MetroWest area in two for most of the day Monday.
