7 Car Rallies In 3 MD Counties Broken Up By Police, Adults And Teens Face Charges
Nearly 200 people packed parking lots across 3 MD counties Saturday night for illegal car rallies. Police broke them up and 5 face charges.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD ā Seven illegal exhibition driving events were broken up by police Saturday night across several Maryland counties, including Howard County.
Upwards of 200 people had crowded into parking lots across Howard, Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties, attempting to shut down traffic intersections. Members from the Maryland Car Rally Task Force, who were working with the Maryland State Police Special Operations Division and local police agencies, broke up the car rallies.
Police were called to these locations for reports of these illicit car rallies on Sept. 14:

- 10:20 p.m.: 9305 Snowden River Parkway, Columbia
- 11:44 p.m.: 415 George Clauss Blvd., Severn
- 12:20 a.m.: 3750 Commerce Drive, Halethorpe
- 12:40 a.m.: 3030 Liberty Heights Ave., Baltimore
- 12:50 a.m.: 2331 Cleanleigh Drive, Parkville
- 1:28 a.m.: 200-600 E. Pratt St., Baltimore
- 1:50 a.m.: East Fayette Street at Central Avenue, Baltimore
Three people were arrested and face charges stemming from Saturday night's gatherings. The Baltimore Police Department also charged two juveniles, who are not being identified at this time, with possession of firearms.

- Dublen Sarceno Lima, 28, of Beltsville ā charged with driving/attempting to drive a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving and other traffic violations.
- Richard Garrett, 22, of Manassas Park, Virginia ā charged with disturbing the peace/hindering the peace, disorderly conduct and malicious destruction of property.
- DeāLontay Coles, 19, of Silver Spring ā charged with disorderly conduct, fireworks discharge without a permit, riot, unlawful assembly, negligent and reckless driving, willfully damaging a highway and other traffic violations.
