Apartment Fire Displaces Two Residents In Columbia

Two residents of a third floor apartment in Columbia have been displaced after a fire broke out Sunday morning, officials report.

COLUMBIA, MD — Around 7 a.m. Sunday, a fire broke out in a third floor apartment at a complex located in the 12000 block of Green Meadow Drive.

According to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, firefighters arrived at the scene and had the fire under control within five minutes. There were no injuries reported.

However, two residents have been displaced because of the fire, the department reported.

The fire was contained to the apartment where it started and didn't spread to neighboring apartments. The fire is being investigated, officials noted.
