Baltimore's Classic Five to Hold Goodbye Winter Scramble

Classic Five's Goodbye Winter Scramble is an 18-hole modified Florida Scramble with a twist.

BALTIMORE, Md. Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation (BMGC), also known as Baltimore’s Classic Five, is hosting its Goodbye Winter Scramble golf outing on Saturday, March 5, at Mount Pleasant Golf Course as part of its winter golf outing series.

The Goodbye Winter Scramble will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and be played using the 18-Hole Florida Scramble format. At the Goodbye Winter Scramble, each foursome’s score will be the combination of the lowest 2 scores on each hole. On Par 3’s and Par 4’s, golfers will play scramble off the tee shot, then play their own balls until they are holed. On Par 5’s, golfers will play scramble for the first two shots, then play their own balls until they are holed.

Registration for the Goodbye Winter Scramble outing is now open. A $240 per team price includes greens fees, carts, breakfast, lunch and prizes. Space is limited.

“We are really excited to offer scramble golf outings this winter season,” said Jon Ladd, BMGC’s Executive Director. “These outings enable golfers to have fun while playing golf during the off-season, as snow is the only weather condition that would cancel the scramble.”

Following the Goodbye Winter Scramble, Baltimore’s Classic Five will host the Superintendent’s Revenge Scramble on Saturday, March 19 at Forest Park Golf Course.
