December 28, 2025 - The "Charm'tastic Mile" of Baltimore (CTMB-1.3) www.thecharmtasticmile.com. The chic & famed 1.3 mile corridor located in the heart of Charm City (Est.1975) that connects Dwtn-West, the Inner Harbor & Harbor East (S. Greene & W. Pratt Street to S. President & Fleet Street) that is now listed on Google search as one of he Top 10-15 Most Famous Streets in America is reporting today is the 67th Anniversary of "The Greatest Game Ever Played", the 1958 NFL Championship between the Baltimore Colts & NY Giants.

It's Week 17 of the 2025 NFL season. The Baltimore Ravens went on the road last-night and defeated the Green Bay Packers 41-24. It was old school smash-mouth, December cold weather football for the Ravens. Derrick Henry rushed for 216 yards on 36 carries, he also scored 4 TD's for the Purple-n-Black. Henry put the team on his broad shoulders and kept the Ravens playoff hopes alive.

On this Sunday, 67-years ago the Baltimore Colts were on the road at old Yankee Stadium and faced the New York Giants for the 1958 NFL Championship with over 45 million viewers nationwide. The legendary matchup that went into sudden-death overtime is the catalyst for the modern-day popularity of the NFL. The Colts defeated the Giants 23-17 when Baltimore fullback Alan Ameche (Ironhorse) scored from 1-yard out. The Iconic image of Ameche scoring will live forever in the lore of the NFL.

Colts Icon Legend Johnny Unitas led Baltimore on the 13 play, 80-yard drive and winning score. Colts WR Raymond Berry had a career day with 12 catches for 178-yards. His 12 catches in a NFL Championship/Super Bowl was a record that stood for 55-years (Demaryius Thomas 13, Super Bowl XLVIII).

After 31-years in Charm City (Est.1975) the Colts left for Indianapolis in March of 1984. It was a bitter pill to swallow for many of the Colts fans. The Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore in 1996 and became the Ravens. The NFL spirit is in full Purple-n-Black swing with the Ravens winning 2 Super Bowls (SB-35, SB-47).

The 1958 NFL Championship is a cornerstone to the history of the league. Baltimore football fans old & new will have a legacy with the sport that will never die. 67-years ago it was cemented in New York at the house (Yankee Stadium) that was built by Babe Ruth. The Iconic George Herman "Babe" Ruth was born in Baltimore.
