Maryland Weekend Forecast: Severe Thunderstorms Possible

The system may include large hail and damaging winds, according to the Weather Channel.

Monday will begin a week of mostly sunny skies and slightly cooler temperatures.

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 79. Southeast wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Saturday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Light and variable wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 11am. High near 83. South wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.
