This MD Restaurant Named To Yelp's Top 100 In America: New List

COLUMBIA, MD — A Howard County-based food truck serving up tacos made with locally sourced ingredients has been named one of the top 100 restaurants in America for 2025.

The gastronomes behind the popular business review website Yelp recently selected DMV Taqueria in Columbia as one of the best eateries in the country.

According to its website, the folks behind DMV Taqueria aim to be an "energetic, imaginative mobile food truck company" that offers "high-quality foods using only local and natural ingredients."

A reviewer from Bethesda recently wondered "where DMV Taqueria had been his whole life" after sampling the eatery's quesadilla. "This was one of those meals that you eat and then ask yourself why you didn't order more," he wrote.

MaryLou from Florida called the taqueria's team "local community heroes."

"The cuisine served is amazingly delicious and prepared with love," she said. "The passion of the owner and staff shines through the food and into the patrons!"

Yelp users also named a Washington, D.C., dining spot to the best list: No. 16 Georgetown Seafood.

To determine the top 100 restaurants for 2025, the Yelp team used data generated from community submissions, including the rating and the volume of reviews for restaurants, as well as overall activity in each business's area. Candidate restaurants were then narrowed down to a final list with the help of Yelp community managers and a trend expert.
