Ornaments Drawn By Howard Co. Kids Displayed Near National Christmas Tree

Students from Church Hill Elementary have ornaments they designed on display near the National Christmas Tree this holiday season.

CLARKSVILLE, MD — Students from Church Hill Elementary have ornaments on display near the National Christmas Tree in President's Park, Washington, D.C., as part of America250.

Every holiday season, The National Christmas Tree is decorated with thousands of lights and decorations. Each year, one-of-a-kind ornaments are made by Americans representing every U.S. state, territory and the District of Columbia.

The America250 tree at President's Park features two dozen ornaments designed by winners of America’s Field Trip, an America250 program that invites students in grades 3–12 to share their perspectives on the question, “What does America mean to you?” Their artwork highlights landmarks, moments in history and American values from their viewpoint.
