A new pharmacy that calls Columbia home launched a few months ago to help Howard County patients, its owner says.
COLUMBIA, MD — Just a few months after their grand opening, a new pharmacy in Howard County has helped hundreds of patients and continues to grow.
HIL Pharmacy, located at 6230 Old Dobbin Lane, Suite 160, Columbia, focuses on "providing quality, patient-focused pharmaceutical care to our community," said co-owner Dirmwa Ayegbusi.
Ayegbusi told Patch that the pharmacy works with patients of all ages primarily in the Howard County area. Pharmacy services include immunizations, filling of prescriptions, non-sterile compounding, over-the-counter remedies and public health pharmacy services.

"Strategically located within the Howard County Healthcare Campus, HIL Pharmacy is positioned to serve 500+ patients daily, working closely with local medical practices to provide seamless care," stated Howard County Executive Calvin Ball during the pharmacy's grand opening.
The pharmacy works in conjunction with AskUsPharmacist.com, an online drug information service that provides live responses via a chat feature linked to patients' accounts. The pharmacy relies on the in-house drug information service to tailor pharmaceutical care plans for all patients, analyzing patients' health and medication information that allows them to provide information to patients that educates them about the safe and effective use of their medications.
