Suspects Snuck Into Middle School, Damaged Electronics: Howard County Police

Police are searching for the suspects who gained access to Oakland Mills Middle School and damaged electronics inside the building.

COLUMBIA, MD — Police are searching for the suspects who gained access to Oakland Mills Middle School and damaged electronics inside the building.

The incident happened June 19 around 9:45 p.m. at the school, which is located at 9540 Kilimanjaro Road.

"It appears a door may have been left unlocked, and that’s how the suspects entered. Nothing was stolen; just some minor damage to electronics," Seth Hoffman, public information officer for the Howard County Police Department, told Patch.

In the meantime, detectives are reviewing video surveillance but no suspects have been identified yet, Hoffman told Patch.
