Eastern Pennsylvania and much of New Jersey, eastern New York and southwestern and central New England will be at risk of the strongest storms Wednesday afternoon, AccuWeather reports. The same storm will bring soaking rain or sporadic drenching showers to the central and northern Appalachians from Wednesday into Wednesday night.
A second storm is likely to stall over the Northeast from Friday to Saturday, leading to more rounds of showers and thunderstorms — along with clouds and unseasonably cool temperatures — from the Appalachians to near the Atlantic coast, AccuWeather said.
