Teen Found With Ghost Gun Used During Argument Arrested

A 16-year-old Columbia boy has been arrested after police found him with a ghost gun that he used during an argument.

COLUMBIA, MD — A 16-year-old boy from Columbia has been arrested and charged as an adult after police officers identified him as a suspect in an argument involving a gun.

In late September, a victim told the Howard County Police Department that during an argument in the parking lot of a Columbia apartment complex, a teenage boy pulled out a handgun. Both people arguing took off and no one was injured, the police department stated.

During an investigation, Howard County Police identified the suspect and during a search warrant carried out this week, officers recovered a privately made “ghost gun" without a serial number.

The suspect was arrested and has been charged as an adult with weapon violations.

"Great work by our patrol officers and crime reduction team to take another illegal handgun in the hands of a juvenile off the streets," the Howard County Police Department stated.
