Choo Choo! Stop by These Local Train Displays

It's not too late to see these elaborate train gardens in Anne Arundel County.

Over the weekend I took the family to see some holiday lights and train displays across Anne Arundel County. You can see Patch's list of the best Christmas lights here.

On Saturday, we visited to big train displays. Marley Station Mall in Glen Burnie features a sizable display on the second floor near Macy's. Admission is free, but donations are being accepted to support the North County Emergency Operations Network.

The Marley station display features more than a dozen trains, including displays with a baseball and football stadium. There's also a slot track with miniature NASCAR cars to race.

Also on Saturday, we visited the home at 7927 Stone Hearth Road in the Provinces section of Severn. There's a full running train display on the front yard that runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. most evening and from 2 to 9:30 p.m. on holidays and weekends. Trains will not run during bad weather, so check flagshiptrains.shutterfly.com to get the updated schedule. There are photos of the display there as well.

Other popular train displays in Anne Arundel County include:
  • 836 Turf Valley Dr., Pasadena
  • Homestead Gardens, 743 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville
