CROFTON, MD — Without community leaders, Crofton wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.
Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

What does this community leader do?
She is the director of a non-profit- Helping Hands of America
Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
She directly supports the community by connecting families and children to vital resources to sustain a normal life. She volunteers at local schools, participates in outreach programs, coordinates collections for requested items for families, and directly picks up and drops off these items to the families and other involved organizations who help the community. She is also currently organizing an anti-bullying campaign.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?
That she has a heart of gold and genuinely cares for the people in our community. She would literally give someone the shirt off of her back and she has. She wants to help people in any way she can and has been devoting all her time in her retirement to her community. She is so involved and is truly making a difference.
