Get in Shape With These Upcoming 5K Runs

As we approach the end of summer, the weather will cool off and it will be a great time lace up the shoes and hit the trails. 

If you're looking to run competitively, there are a multitude of runs throughout the west Anne Arundel County over the next month or so. Here's a look at some of the upcoming races. 

Fort Meade Football Fan Fare 5k - Sept. 21, 8 a.m. Fort Meade Constitution Park. $25.

Ridgeway Elementary Digital Dash 5k - Sept. 28, 8 a.m. Ridgeway Elementary School. $25 to run the 5k. Obstacle course run is $5 or $10 with t-shirt. 

Friends of the Patuxent Run for the Refuge 5k - Sept. 29, 9 a.m. Patuxent Research Refuge North Tract. $30.

Arundel Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Run - Oct. 5, 8 a.m. Start/stop at Crofton Country Club. $35.

Pass it Forward 5k - Oct. 5, 8 a.m. Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church, 921 Generals Highway, Millersville. $30 in advance, $35 on race day. 

Meade Boosters 2013 Fall 5k -  Oct. 19, 9 a.m. Meade High School track. $20, or $15 for students.
