Anyone who has driven down Waugh Chapel Road will have no doubt noticed the construction of a new medical rehabilitation facility adjacent to the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
The rehab center will hold a special "under roof" ribbon cutting on Tuesday as construction nears completion.
The facility, to be called Waugh Chapel Center, will offer short-term rehabilitation services to people recovering from surgery or other medical issues, according to Jeanne Moore, a spokeswoman for Genesis Health.
The ribbon cutting will take place Tuesday at 1 p.m. and is expected to feature remarks from business leaders and Sen. Ed Reilly.
