PHOTOS: Maryland Live! Goes Pink for Breast Cancer
Staff at the Hanover casino sported pink t-shirts to kick off a month-long breast cancer awareness campaign.
The Maryland Live! casino on Tuesday kicked off a month of special events to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.
Employees at the facility near Arundel Mills sported pink t-shirts, and the casino will be lit up with special pink lights during the month of October. Maryland Live! is also a sponsor of theKomen Maryland Race for the Cure in Hunt Valley on Oct. 20.
Here's a look at the other breast cancer awareness events being held at Maryland Live! in October.
- Sunday, Oct. 6, noon- 1 p.m. - The casino will distribute pink light bulbs at Rams Head Center Stage as part of a "Light the Town Pink" event.
- Friday, Oct. 11, 6-10 p.m. - Maryland Live1 will host WPOC radio host Laurie DeYoung's annual Bosom Buddy fundraiser. The "girls night out" event features food from Prime Rib and the casino buffet, then a special concert. Cost is $65 with proceeds going to benefit Susan G. Komen Maryland.
- Sunday, Oct. 13, 5:30 p.m. - E! host Giuliana Rancic, a breast cancer survivor and Maryland native, will tell her story at Rams Head Center Stage. Tickets are $25.
