What's Open, Closed In Crofton On Memorial Day

CROFTON, MD — Many government services change their hours around holidays. Here is what's opened and closed in Crofton on Memorial Day, which is on Monday, May 30:

Schools: Anne Arundel County Public Schools and central offices will be closed on Monday. The school calendar is available at this link.

Government Offices: Anne Arundel County and City of Annapolis government offices will be closed Monday.

Courts: Courts will be closed Monday. Court hours are listed here.

Parks: This interactive map shows the parks closest to you and their hours.

In Annapolis, the Pip Moyer Recreation Center and the Stanton Community Center will both be closed Monday. The Stanton Community Center is also closed every Sunday. The Pip Moyer Recreation Center is open daily except on holidays.

Libraries: The Anne Arundel County Public Library will be closed Sunday and Monday. A full list of library hours and contact information is posted here.

Post Offices: Post offices will be closed Monday.

Trash And Recycling: All landfills and recycling centers will be closed Monday. Curbside collection that normally happens on Monday will occur on Tuesday. Tuesday collection is pushed to Wednesday. A schedule of all Anne Arundel County trash and recycling operations is available here.

City of Annapolis trash pickup also has changes. Monday collection will move to Tuesday. Tuesday collection will switch to Wednesday. There will not be any metal bulk collection on Wednesday. Anybody with questions about the city's trash removal should contact Annapolis Public Works.

Buses: City of Annapolis transit will use a Sunday schedule on Memorial Day. That means the Purple bus will operate from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The city's Paratransit will also run during that timeframe.

The County Connector will operate on a Sunday schedule this Monday.

Trains: The MARC train will not operate Monday. All MARC schedules are listed on its website.
