What's Open, Closed In Crofton On New Year's Weekend

CROFTON, MD — Many government services change their hours around holidays. Here is what's opened and closed in Crofton around New Year's Eve, which is on Friday, and New Year's Day, which is this Saturday:

Government Offices: Anne Arundel County and Annapolis government offices will all be closed on Friday. County government offices will also be closed on Saturday.

Courts: Courts will be closed Friday. Court hours are listed here.

Parks: This interactive map shows the parks closest to you and their hours.

In Annapolis, the Pip Moyer Recreation Center will be open until 1 p.m. Friday. It will be closed on Saturday. The Stanton Community Center will be closed both days.

Libraries: The Anne Arundel County Public Library will be closed Friday through Sunday. A full list of library hours and contact information is posted here.

Post Offices: Post offices will be open on Friday but closed on Saturday.

Trash And Recycling: All landfills and recycling centers will be closed Friday and Saturday. In Anne Arundel County, normal curbside collection will happen on Friday. A schedule of all Anne Arundel County trash and recycling operations is available here.

Annapolis trash pickup will not have any changes. Anybody with questions about the city's trash removal should reach out to Annapolis Public Works.

Buses: The Annapolis Transit bus system will run a regular weekday schedule on Friday with no evening purple line service. The Circulator bus will operate on Friday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. It will only run to the intersection of Main Street and Chruch Circle starting at 6:30 p.m. There will not be any bus service on Saturday.

The County Connector will operate on a limited schedule, but it will run all weekend

The Paratransit will operate as usual on Friday. The South County Call N Ride will run until 5 p.m. that day. All fixed routes will use an abbreviated Saturday schedule on New Year's Eve until 7 p.m. There will be no county-operated bus service on Saturday.

Trains: The MARC train will operate Friday but not Saturday. All MARC schedules are listed on its website. The Light RailLink will run all weekend. The Light RailLink's schedule is posted here.
