After a long string of drawings without a winner, the Powerball jackpot has been raised to $300 million, Maryland Lottery officials announced Friday.
The prize has a $172.7 million cash option. The next drawing will be held Saturday.
The Maryland Lottery is one of 45 lotteries nationwide that participate in the Powerball drawing.
