"This year’s logo is all about the speed and excitement of the race,” Bob Leffler, president of the Leffler Agency, which designed the logo, said in a news release.
The Preakness Stakes, the biggest horse race in Maryland, will be held May 17 this year at Baltimore's Pimlico Race Course.
The race is the second of thoroughbred horse racing's Triple Crown—run between the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont Stakes.
