DUNDALK, MD — Amazon celebrated the grand opening of its new fulfillment center in Sparrows Point by hosting local and state officials on Tuesday, March 19. Gov. Larry Hogan and Baltimore County Executive John Olszewski Jr. were among them. Maryland Commerce Secretary Kelly M. Schulz and officials from Amazon and Tradepoint Atlantic also attended the March 19 grand opening.

The 850,000-square-foot facility at Tradepoint Atlantic is Amazon's third distribution hub in Maryland; others are in Baltimore City and Cecil County.

At Tradepoint Atlantic, the new Amazon fulfillment center will add thousands of jobs to the local economy, officials said, bringing the total Amazon employees in Maryland to more than 5,500.
