Burglars Hit Businesses, Homes, School Under Construction

Thieves were extra busy over a three-day period earlier this month when they broke into homes, businesses and a school construction site.

Sometime between 5 p.m. July 11 and 7 a.m. July 12, an unknown suspect broke into the new Dundalk High School building under construction, according to North Point Police Precinct 12 reports.

Once inside the building, the thief pried off the lock hasp from a door securing a room where workers stored spools of wire.

The thief stole spools of wire, CAT cable and extension cords, according to the report.

Between 10:30 a.m. and 1:35 p.m. July 11, a thief entered a house in the 100 block of Avon Beach Road and took electronics and a saxophone.

Audio recording equipment was also taken, but the victim later found it between two trash cans outside his home.

There were no signs of forced entry and the victim said that all the doors and windows were locked when he left for the day.

Between 6 p.m. July 12 and 7:10 a.m. July 13, a thief entered the Good Will American Thrift Store in the 7200 block of German Hill Road after breaking a window with a rock, according to police reports.

The suspect stole money from a cash register.

Between 10 p.m. July 12 and 9:43 a.m. July 13, a thief entered the Wok and Roll in the 7700 block of Westfield Road after breaking a front window.

Money was stolen from the cash register.
