The organization recognized Imbriale for his plan to outfit the 50-year-old school building with a wireless infrastructure, equip classrooms with instructional technology, implement an open policy for mobile devices, create a plan for the use of social media for communication and learning, and to provide professional development for staff members, according to a statement from the school system at the time.
