5 Strikeout Outing Leads Seahawks Past Broadneck

Charlie Hardesty's five strikeout pitching performance led (2-2) past the Friday afternoon.
At South River High School, it was a great day for the Seahawks as Hardesty tossed a shutout to earn a 2-0 victory in seven innings.

Hardesty's pitching performance was so dominant, the game only lasted approximately 90 minutes. He allowed no opposing players to cross the plate while only giving up two hits while striking out five.
Hardesty was in complete control of his inventory of curves, changeups and fastballs. Teamed up with Jake Gratz behind the plate and a solid error-free defense who turned three double plays, it was a stellar performance all around.

Bryan Shores booked seven putouts at first.
Coach Kenn Dunn's Seahawks faced two left-handed pitchers on the mound. Scott Mitchell went a perfect 3-3 at the dish against the southpaws with a single in the first, third and fifth innings. Craig Sheridan launched a deep double along with a single, Connor Cox belted a pair of singles each for an RBI and Gabe Vertucci and Nick Raimondo also singled.
The Seahawks are now .500 for the season.
