Boyfriend, 72, Charged With Murder In Edgewater Woman's Death
The boyfriend of an Edgewater woman has been charged with murder in her death, Anne Arundel County police said in a statement Thursday.
EDGEWATER, MD — The boyfriend of an Edgewater woman has been charged with murder in her death, Anne Arundel County police said in a statement Thursday.
About 8 a.m., officers went to a residence in the 400 block of Linden Avenue in Edgewater for a report of an unresponsive female, and found a woman with apparent trauma to her body.
Members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department pronounced the victim — identified as Johanna Gibbs, 76, of Edgewater — dead, according to a police news release.

The victim’s remains were taken to the Office of the State Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine a cause of death, authorities said.
Homicide detectives identified Gibbs' boyfriend — 72-year-old Bruce William Dunham, of Edgewater — as a suspect in her death, according to a news release. He had lived with Gibbs at the residence where the homicide occurred.

Dunham was arrested and charged with the murder of Gibbs.
