AACPS Cancels Tuesday Classes

Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) announced all classes and administrative offices will be closed Tuesday due to the anticipated impact of Hurricane Sandy.

AACPS spokesman Bob Mosier said some school maintenance workers will be needed to address any issues that arise following the storm. However, he said all those personnel have been contacted by AACPS and notified that they may need to work Tuesday starting at noon.

The MPSSAA announced that school closings mean postponements and rescheduling of region tournament games in several sports. Patch will provide updates as more information comes in regarding those.
