After High School, South River Grads Continue to Excel

Alyssa Spagnuolo inters with the National Air and Space Museum while Natalie Page works with Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Even though their high school days are behind them, two recent South River graduates are continuing to excel and are on their way to their dream careers.

Over the past few weeks, Patch has featured the stories of two recent graduates who have gone on to land pretty impressive internships or summer work opportunities.

Alyssa Spagnuolo, a 2012 graduate, landed an internship with the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum's health and safety department.

The Elon University student completed a project on workplace injuries during her time with the museum. The National Air and Space Museum receives more than 400 applications for internships, and only had 38 spots this summer.

Meanwhile, Natalie Page, a 2010 graduate of South River High School, just wrapped up a summer internship with Anne Arundel Medical Center’s (AAMC) Child Life program. Page worked as a Child Life Practicum Student in the in-patient and emergency department.

This fall, Page will head back to High Point University for her senior year, before going on to earn a master's degree.
