Boat Accident in Deale Hospitalizes 2

A boat accident in Deale injured four people and hospitalized two Thursday afternoon after the fire department received multiple calls from people in the area.

Lt. Keith Hamilton of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said fire crews responded to a report of a a boat accident around 4:55 p.m. The department had received multiple calls of a recreational boat striking a jetty boat in the Deale area, he said.

A fire and rescue boat first responded to the scene and helped four people out of one of the boats and brought them into a nearby marina, Hamilton said.

Two people refused treatment and two were transported to Anne Arundel County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, he said.
