Edgewater Woman, Crofton Man Face Drug Charges

Police said they found almost $2,000 worth of drugs at a home in Crofton.

Anne Arundel County Police arrested an Edgewater woman and a Crofton man Wednesday after finding $1,969 worth of suspected powder and crack cocaine in a Crofton home.

Sidney Sweet Irwin, 22, of the 30 block of Millhaven Court in Edgewater, and Brian Artemis Waters, 37, of the 1400 block of Vineyard Lane in Crofton face multiple charges.

Complaints and tips from neighbors led officers to investigate potential drug activity at Waters' residence in Crofton, according to a release from police.

After collecting evidence, police said they executed a search warrant at the home where they found $2,000 in cash, 5.4 grams of suspected powder cocaine, 12.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine and 1.8 grams of suspected marijuana.

Police said Irwin was charged with possession of cocaine, and Waters faces charges of possession of crack and cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of crack and cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
