Doggone it! Fisher's Famous Hot Dogs Preps for Seasonal Closing

The seasonal hot dog stand, located in Edgewater, will reopen Memorial Day weekend.

Summer has definitely come to a close, and with it, the end of another season for Fisher's Famous Hot Dogs, located on Route 214 in Edgewater.

Locals can get their last dog of the season on Oct. 26.

The locally-owed, seasonal hot dog joint has been serving up Chicago, New York, LA, and Atlanta style dogs, as well as locally named "Edgewiener" and "Davidsondog," since June 2012.

Stand owner Brian Fisher left a job at a New York advertising firm last year to pursue his dream of owning a hot dog stand in Edgewater.

Fisher's is only open Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., which means only four more days of fresh, local hot dogs this season.

Fear not, local hot dog lovers! Fisher has promised his stand will be reopening at the start of summer 2014, on Memorial Day weekend.

If you can't wait until May to get your Fisher's fix, here's a piece of good news:

"In the meantime, Fisher's Famous Maryland Crab Mustard will soon be available in Graul's Market in Annapolis," Fisher told Patch in an email.
