'Giant Parking Lot Slime Gully' Gets Filled
I personally liked the small waterway near Panera on Route 2, but it appears the mini river will soon be gone.
Workers renovated the "miniature river" near the and on Maryland Route 2 Tuesday, filling it with small pebbles and rocks.
Described by one commenter of Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch's Facebook page as the "Giant parking lot slime gully," the ditch/river/gully is now full of small pebbles.
Patch reported in July 2011 that the drainage ditch, running the length of the parking lot, was an put in place to prevent stormwater runoff. Last summer, a severe flood .

I personally thought the flowing little waterway was a unique touch to the shopping center. It wasn't Venice, but it was nice to see its waters moving smoothly during the warmer days of winter.
The renovation effort wasn't completely finished Tuesday, but it sure looks like it'll be done in the next day or so.
