Hundreds Still Without Electricity in Edgewater, Davidsonville, SoCo

Use BGE's work crew location website to track when and where they will be in your neighborhood.

As many as 1,125 homes in Edgewater, Davidsonville and south county still don’t have electricity, according to Baltimore Gas & Electric’s (BGE) power outage map.

At about 9 a.m. Thursday, more than 3,600 BGE customers throughout Anne Arundel County had lost power, but more than 89,000 had their electricity restored since Sandy hit local shores. Only Baltimore County had more residents lose power, according to BGE’s map.

While the majority of the outages in the area are northeast—close to the South River—some of the worst flooding came in low-lying areas in Davidsonville and south county.

One Patch reader shared her photo of Patuxent River Road in Davidsonville, saying the street is under several feet of water—so much so that cars cannot drive through.
