Local Couple Could Win $50,000 Wedding

One lucky couple’s Valentine’s Day will be more special than most after The Bistro at South River announces the winners for the “Bistro Ultimate Wedding Giveaway.”

Over the last few months, couples have submitted applications to receive a “free wedding” after it was announced the “wedding giveaway” was inviting couples to make a brief video proving why they’re “the most fun.”

“Couples made videos proving to a panel of judges that they’re the most fun engaged couple ever and that they’re willing to share their wedding vows at The Bistro Adirondack Room inside the newly-renovated clubhouse,” said Bistro spokesman Jeffrey Davis in an email to Patch.

Nineteen featured couples submitted videos of why they should win, and one of the couples will have their dreams come true this Valentine’s Day.

On Feb. 14, the panel of judges will select one couple to receive a wedding and reception valued at up to $50,000. The couple will tie the knot on Oct. 26 at The Bistro at South River, located at the Golf Club at South River clubhouse in Edgewater.

In addition to the ceremony and reception venue for up to 150 guests, the winners will get a wedding planner, linens, food, drink, music, flowers, a dress, wedding bands, invitations, limousine transportation and more.

The judging panel is a mix of the employees from The Brick Companies, owner of the private Golf Club at South River and The Bistro at South River within the golf course, which is open to the public.

Entries were due Sunday and the winning couple will be announced at Liljenquist and Beckstead Jewelers in Westfield Annapolis, said Davis.

“They’re going to call the winner that morning, but it’ll be just the winning couple at the announcement,” Davis said.
