London Towne’s Community Family Week Starts Saturday

Looking for something to do this weekend? The 34 annual London Towne Community Family Week begins Saturday. 

Scheduled events and activities will run until August 18, and will take place around the community. Here's a look at what's on the schedule for this weekend:

Saturday, August 10 

7 a.m. Fishing and Crabbing Contest begins for kids up to age 15.
The contest will end at noon Sunday, August 18. Sign up at Marty’s (95 Mayo Road) or call 410-956-2238. 

8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Annual Community Flea Market on the Community Hall Grounds (Rain Date: Sunday, August 11) Spaces are available for $20 each, and a limited number of indoor spaces are available for $25 each. Tables are additional $5. Breakfast/Lunch/Refreshments Available: Eat-in or Carry-Out. Reservations at 410-956-4808 

2 to 3:30 p.m. Children's Birthday Party (up to age 7) Entertainment, Games and Prizes, Face painting. Cupcake donations are needed. 

Sunday, August 11 

1:30 p.m. Pet Show  Bring your favorite pets—all kinds of pets and all ages are welcome. Sponsored by Greater South River Animal Hospital - Chair, Jennifer 410-279-4830

4 p.m. Family Fun Festival Food, Games & Prizes, Demonstrations, Information, Cake Wheel, and more. 

5 p.m. Crab Soup Contest
