Basketball Teams Fall to Annapolis, Road Trip Ahead

While the wresting team continued its dominance, the South River boys and girls varsity basketball teams fell to Annapolis.

Varsity Basketball

's girls and boys basketball teams were unable to defeat Friday. The boys continue to struggle to move up the county ranks while the girls experienced a brief hiccup, falling to 9-3 with a score of 42-50.

Both squads have a home game and then two consecutive away games in the next week. After hosting Wednesday, the Seahawks will travel to Southern High on Friday and next Tuesday. Tipoff for the varsity games are at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Wrestling

Not having lost since Dec. 28 in the La Plata Dual Tournament, the Seahawks’ wrestling team continued its dominance against Annapolis Friday with a solid win of 69-10.

The squad will head to Harford Tech this weekend for a meet on Friday and Saturday. Information has not been announced for the match times.

Swimming

The Seahawks’ swim team will participate in its next meet Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Arundel Olympic Swim Center.
