Top 5 Commercials from Super Bowl XLVI

Where do your favorites rank against my top 5 list?

As a Ravens fan, I had little to look forward to at this year’s Super Bowl. Thankfully for me, commercials are a fun way to pass the time if you have little interest in the actual game.

Super Bowl XLVI came down to the wire, making the game entertaining even for neutrals like me. But after a great night of commercials, I couldn’t help but list my top five favorites from Sunday night.

No. 1—Volkswagon’s “Dog on a Diet” Commercial

After “Fido” can’t fit through the hole in his door to chase a car, he commits to getting in shape. The James Brown music added a nice touch. I laughed from beginning to end.

No. 2— Doritos “Missing Cat” Commercial

I wasn’t sure what was going on at first, but the broken English in the Great Dane’s Post-it note made me crack up. Of course, the husbands, “nothing,” was pretty funny, too. Doritos always seems to have at least one good one. This, however, is still my all-time favorite.

No. 3—Kia’s “Dream Car” Commercial

Cowboy riding a Rhinoceros. Enough said.

No. 4—Bridgestone’s “Troy Aikman Football” Commercial

Bridgestone tires decide to venture into the world of professional sports by providing new balls. Their new football bends our understanding, and leaves hall of famer Deion Sanders quite flustered.

No. 5—Chevrolet’s “Apacolypse Twinkie” Commercial

For me, the commercial wasn’t good at all until the Twinkies came in. I definitely laughed out loud though when they did.
