Robert Armfield, of Davidsonville, died September 9. He was 83. Husband of Helen L. Armfield; father of Lisa Taylor, Linda (Kerry) Haynes and Jacqueline Kiehl; Pop-Pop of Jessica, Kyle, Meghan and Kristen; great-Pop-Pop of Fiona. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Order of the Eastern Star, Federal Chapter #38, c/o Constance Connoly, 1261 Lavall Dr., Davidsonville, MD 21035.

Charles Richard "Sonny" Tucker, of Birdsville, died September 8. He graduated from Annapolis High School and went on to join the Army and serve in World War II. He was in basic training in Alabama when the war ended and he stayed in the Army, becoming a photographer. He was stationed in Alaska, Colorado, Florida, and Iceland where his work included surveillance of Russian naval activity in the North Atlantic. Sonny purchased Bessonton Farm around 1950, and he raised beef cattle, boarded horses, and grew corn, hay and tobacco. In 1967 he married Miriam D. "Bunny" Tucker and later that year they built a house on the farm where they raised their three children: Cindy, Matt and Curt. He enjoyed flying and was dedicated to environmental conservation. Stephen Fredrick Mancini, 50, of Edgewater, died suddenly at home on September 7. Steve received his undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1986 and then graduated from Regent University in 1992, becoming a Juris Doctor of Law. He worked for Adorno and Zeder Law firm in Miami, FL from 1992 to 1994 and then was employed by New Century Tours from 1995 to 2010. Steve received the American Jurisprudence Award, Constitutional Law Deans Scholarship and was a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do. He was a die hard Cubs and Orioles fan, enjoyed watching movies and trips to the beach. He cherished his black lab Bucky, but most of all, loved his two boys, Tyler and Dominic. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to the Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis, 1103 Smithville St., Annapolis, MD 21401.
