Pasadena Man Fined $10,000 for Clearing Property

The owner of Branching Out Tree Service in Pasadena pleaded guilty to the charges of clearing trees without a permit on Thursday.

 

A man who allegedly cleared trees without a permit in a critical area in Davidsonville pleaded guilty to the charges Thursday, according to The Associated Press. 

Steve J. Everd Jr., owner of Branching Out Tree Service in Pasadena, admitted to clearing a privately-owned waterfront property in Davidsonville, according to the AP story. He was fined $10,000 by the Maryland attorney general’s office, according to the article.

The owner of the Davidsonville property told investigators that the tree service company was only set to remove specific limbs, but the clearing done by Branching Out Tree Service “far exceeded” the authorized contract,” AP reported.
