Politicians, Residents Set to Honor Vets in Galesville

Local veterans will speak to attendees and share their experience working in the military.

The Galesville Heritage Society is set to host its annual Veterans Day Observance on Sunday, featuring speeches from local vets and appearances by elected officials.

Starting at 1 p.m. at the Galesville Memorial Hall at 952 Galesville Rd., a variety of veterans will share their experiences about serving in the armed forces and its impact on their lives. Additionally, Sen. John Astle (D-Annapolis) and County Councilman Jerry Walker (R-7th District) will attend the event.

Various military uniforms will be on display as residents gather to pay tribute to military personnel who sacrificed their time, talents and their lives, said event planner Diane Nowak-Waring in an email to Patch.
