Report: Lothian Men Injured in Horse and Buggy, Motorcycle Collision
Donald L. Fridell, Jr. 52, and Lawrence F. Jones, 81, were both taken to an area hospital after their motorcycles collided with a horse and buggy in St. Mary's County.

Two men from Lothian were hospitalized Thursday after their motorcycles collided with a horse and buggy in St. Mary's county, reports NBC Washington.
According to the report, Donald L. Fridell, Jr. 52, and Lawrence F. Jones, 81, were riding their motorcycles westbound on Route 6 near Culver Lane in Charlotte Hall, MD. A horse and buggy, driven by 48-year-old Lyna Fisher, failed to yield to the motorcycles as she was turning, causing the men to collide with the horse and buggy, according to NBC Washington.
Fridell was airlifted to University of Maryland Shock Trauma with life-threatening injuries suffered when he was thrown from his motorcycle after striking the horse. He was still in critical condition Friday, according to media reports.
Jones lost control of his vehicle, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at an area hospital. Fisher was uninjured in the accident, reports stated.
