Shady Side Hosts Annual National Night Out

The event will be held August 6 at the Lula G. Scott Community Center on Shady Side Road.

For twenty years the town of Shady Side has been hosting a National Night Out, and this year is no different. 

National Night Out in Shady Side will be held Tuesday, August 6 at the Lula G. Scott Community Center on Shady Side Road. From 6 to 9 p.m. the event will feature music, games, food and fun for the whole family. 

According to its website, National Night Out is a community police awareness-raising event in the US, held the first Tuesday of August. The event has been held annually since 1984 and is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch.

This is the 20th year the town of Shady Side has participated in the event. 

Shady Side's National Night Out will be held Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at 6243 Shady Side Rd.
