South Anne Arundel County Rotary Hosts 'Lights of Kindness'
The third, annual Lights of Kindness is a fundraising contest taking place Dec. 1-4.

From The Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County: The Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County is calling upon county businesses to sponsor local non-profit charities to decorate a tree for the third, annual Lights of Kindness, a unique fund-raising contest taking place at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville, MD Thursday December 1 through Sunday December 4.
In the spirit of the season, the goal of this event is to raise funds for charities, but also raise awareness of the efforts of sponsors and the charities to make our community a better place. To participate, businesses should contact the Rotary Club, decide on a charity to support, a level of sponsorship, and work with a charity to decorate a tree. Sponsor businesses, and the charities they support, will be prominently identified. The public may tour the holiday forest at Homestead Gardens or go online to vote on their favorite tree or noblest cause by contributing dollars for an equivalent number of votes. Whatever your reason, every dollar donated counts as a vote, and benefits our local community.
The community is encouraged to visit the Holiday Forest at Homestead Gardens, vote, and enjoy this family oriented event. Or, online votes for a dollar each may be registered online after the trees are on view.
