North Beach Man Electrocuted While Hanging Christmas Lights

Jason Byrnes, 34, died Monday after a ladder he was using to hang Christmas lights came into contact with some wires, according to multiple news reports.

A man was fatally shocked Monday while hanging Christmas lights on a North Beach home, according to multiple news reports.

WBAL reports that North Beach resident Jason Byrnes, 34, was hanging Christmas lights on his neighbor's home Monday, when his ladder came into contact with an electrical wire, electrocuting Byrnes.

Anne Arundel County officials said Brynes was airlifted to Prince George's County Shock Trauma, where he died shortly after arrival, according to the report.

Officials have ruled Byrnes' death accidental.
