Southern School Cluster Rallies for Health and Wellness

Four elementary schools will join Southern Middle and Southern High to unify the community in focusing for health and wellness in local families.

The six “southern cluster” schools of Anne Arundel County are joining together to focus on wellness next week at the annual Kids Connection Night at Southern High.

The Southern High National Honor Society (NHS) is sponsoring the free event. At the school, families will be encouraged to promote healthy lifestyles while increasing the connection between the local elementary, middle and high schools in the cluster, according to a press release from Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

, , and schools are joining and for activities to promote health, wellness and focus on being a “greener” community, according to the release.

In addition to games, the elementary school with the highest attendance can win a “health and wellness prize” for their school.

The event is scheduled for 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Southern High.
